Dumplings

Ingredients:
• Cooking oil
• 1 lb ground pork (or other meat as preferred)
• 7 green onions
• 2 eggs
• Five-spice powder
• Salt
• Soy sauce
• Oyster sauce
• Third to Half of a cabbage (depending on your preference)
• 10 Mushrooms
• Sichuan Pepper
• Dumpling wrappers – 3 bags

Instructions: Before the start of the zoom call, please chop the green onions, cabbage, and mushrooms into small pieces and put them on top of the ground pork in a large bowl. This recipe will make approximately 50 dumplings. Substitute 1 chopped onion and 1 cup of shredded carrot for the pork and remove eggs to make vegetarian dumplings.

Step 1
Pour some cooking oil into a pan (cover the surface of a 10″ pan) and heat. After 10 seconds, put a teaspoon of sichuan peppers in the pan and wait until the peppers change color to black.
Step 2
When you see them begin to smoke, pull them out of the oil and pour the oil into the ground pork/vegetable mixture.
Step 3
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, five spice powder, sale and raw eggs.
Step 4
Mix all of the ingredients together

Prepare a bowl of water. Dip your finger into the water bowl and lightly coat the edge of one side of the wrapper to make it wet and sticky.
Step 6
Use chopsticks or a spoon to add the mixed ingredients in the middle of the wrapper (don’t add to much or it will be difficult to close the wrapper. Fold the wrapper around the ingredients and stick the edges together.
