After School Activities
There are three programs that provide daily after school care at Barnard Elementary from the end of school until 6:00pm. Please contact each program directly for pricing and registration details.
Prime Time
PrimeTime is free to all participating families and operates before and/or after school programs every regular school day. An application must be completed for each child applying for PrimeTime. It is anticipated that the demand for PrimeTime services will exceed the program capacity at most schools; therefore, it is extremely important that the application be completed and submitted by the initial application timeline.
YMCA Character Builders
Character Builders is an affordable way to ensure your child is in a safe, fun and caring environment before and/or after school. Each day includes a new program or activity to help participants learn, build life skills, and develop healthy relationships — including healthy snacks, sports and games, art and music and more!

Three Treasures
Three Treasures’ Youth Mentorship Program is an after-school enrichment program that focuses on building your students from the inside-out. Their goal is to create a strong base of self-confidence and self-esteem that will carry into all aspects of their life. The after school program includes: homework tutoring; academic and physical enrichment (i.e. chess, science, math, English, and team sports); and building values (i.e. respect, discipline, and patience).

After School Learning Tree
After School Learning Tree picks up students at Barnard 5 days a week and transports them to their Sorrento Valley site for after school programs and care. They also offer enrichment programs.

After School Enrichment Programs
The Barnard PTA also coordinates after school enrichment programs. These programs typically run once a week for one hour after school for about 8-10 weeks. Students in after school care can attend enrichment programs and then go to their daily program.
